Surrounded by his family at Victoria Hospital, London, on Monday, July 27, 2015, Ivan Leitch in his 85th year. Beloved husband of Eleanor (Cupples) Leitch for 52 years. Loving father of Hugh Leitch. Dear brother of Dr. Garnet Leitch and brother-in-law of Mike Cupples (Margaret) and Donna Wilson (and the late Bruce Leitch). Missed by his nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Mungo and Monta (Anderson) Leitch. Ivan was a proud member of the LTC. A celebration of Ivan’s life will be held at Elmwood Avenue Presbyterian Church, 111 Elmwood Avenue, East, London, on Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at 2 pm. Cremation has taken place. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to Elmwood Avenue Presbyterian Church – Memorial Fund, 111 Elmwood Avenue, London ON N6C 1J4. So sorry to hear of Ivan’s passing. He will always be remembered as a true gentleman.
The memories with Ivan as a kid visiting the farm are nothing but joyful, with Ivan being the older cousin who made the days enjoyable with the unexpected and unpredictable. Wonderful memories. Condolences to the family.
I am posting this on behalf of my Mom and her sister (the Watson twins from Glencoe) – Mildred and Margaret. They remember Ivan as a fun-loving, great guy. In fact, I understand they both dated him…and fought over him a time or two! Definitely some stories there…but neither Mom or Aunt Marg will give me any details! On their behalf, I extend deepest condolences. (Mom lost her husband, Floyd, in late July so she knows what you are going thru.) May your memories bring you comfort in the days ahead. God bless.
