The wandering soul, who originated from St. Davids, Ontario, has left us suddenly on Monday, September 22, 2014, at the age of 71. Survived by his partner Julie Hooker. Loving father of Sally Bennett (Thomas Clayton), Lisa Bennett (Dwaine Haughie) and David Bennett (Marisa) . Cherished granddad of Jayme McCrae (Duncan), Spenser Bennett, Sage Bennett (Daniel Marston), Elizabeth Bennett and Connor Bennett. Doug will be sadly missed by not only his family but also by the multitude of hearts he has touched from Texas to Niagara and all points in between. At the request of Doug, cremation has taken place and there will be no service. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to your local Ronald McDonald House.
